Final League Standings | Championship Game | Tournament Details

Here are the final league standings. This sets up a championship match for 1st place this Saturday 10/28 at 1030am. Immediately following the match, League prizes will be handed out. 

All 7 people will get a choice (in order of champion/standings finish) of once piece of swag. Swag ranges from deck boxes, to alternate card art (x3 if you choose a character), tokens, and lot's of other fun stuff.

Whatever doesn't get picked will be in the prize pool for the tournament immediately following.

So the final battle will have Dom vs. Brad. The Winner gets first choice between 2 types of 15 Greyjoy power tokens, as well as first choice of swag. For more info on league prize support refer to earlier posts.

The tournament format still largely depends on turnout, and we'll need to be adaptable based on who comes. But this is the format I envision. A note, Lex and I will both need to leave around 3:30 for his piano recital, so I'll likely need someone at the end to hand out prizes. Cam also has a full plate that evening and I also don't want to take up everyone's full Saturday, so this one will be short and sweet. 

Single Elimination Tournament, Random Matchup Draw, power totals for losing player will be important. (open to change, especially depending on turnout). If we have several players that are paying, it will probably need to be double elimination. In which case, I'll need help at the end of the tournament when i leave. Consolation matches will also be played to determine prize support order.

I know, it's not the best, and open to some ideas prior to Saturday, but my goal is knock this one out and take the time needed for future tournaments.

My plan is to also email or handout surveys. I want to get some feedback on our first league, what you liked, what could be better, new ideas, etc.

Fall is Coming - Final Week

Well, somehow we did this. It's been fun. My plan is to run 4 leagues a year, as well as have at least 2 tournaments (not including the regional). I'll be passing out an end of league survey on 10/28 so I can get some feedback on what you liked/didn't like, suggestions going forward etc. This first league was kind of a dress rehearsal, and I have high hopes for future events. Reminder: this is the last week to add points to your league total. At 6pm this Sunday (10/22), league scoring will be complete. No games past 6pm Sunday will count toward standings. Updated Standings, and League Tournament Info

Looks like Dom is starting to run away with the 1 seed for championship. But we still have a couple weeks to go. In addition, the 2nd seed is anybody's game. Through 10/8/17, here are the current standings. For full breakdown, as always, you can view that here . Pay special attention to your houses. Remember the more houses you play, the more bonus points you get. And don't sleep on that flea bottom combo.
